Why My Program?
My program is different than your average trainers program. It is designed from personal experiences and the journey that took me from youth basketball to the highest level of Division 1 basketball. There definitely are physical limitations for every player. But, as far as basketball skills, and their understanding of basketball, the sky is the limit. I will encourage players to develop their physical ability to THEIR highest level, but, help take their basketball skills to THE highest level. I was never the fastest player or highest jumper. However, my basketball IQ and basketball skills allowed me to prevail. I will evaluate the talent level of each player and design my program to target each of their needs. Basketball is a game with many different aspects. Throughout my program, theses aspects will be gone over thoroughly. These aspects include: ball handling, lay ups, shooting, anticipation, reaction, defense, rebounding, passing, and big man skills. The first few work outs contain most of the fundamental skills to build a players foundation. I understand the importance of ball handling and it is stressed in my program. Ball handling is a valuable skill whether your child is 5 feet or 7 feet tall. However, if your child grows to be 7 feet, a 7 footer handling the ball makes him a lot more valuable to teams on any level. The non 7 footers are just as valuable if their ball handling is crisp and up to par. If you follow my program, put the effort, dedication, and hard work into your game, I guarantee their will be improvement!
